The column is also titled something like "Linux >should be called underware". Underware what? Hanes? Fruit of the loom? >BVD? How insulting! A recent issue LAN TIMES reviewed various TCP/IP networking options for the MSDOS/MSWINDOWS environment and gave Netmanage Chameleon poor marks for being difficult to install. They wrote something like "even seasoned Unix gurus will find this diffficult to install." I laughed and laughed and pointed this article out to a few friends that have installed Chameleon to share the humour. I've intsalled it and it's not that hard at all. This just goes to show the caliber of some of the "expert" writers for trade publications. In my experience, the InfoWorld writers are hardly authoritative in their pronouncements. I make an exception for Mr. Cringley however!! I think "underware" may actually be a legitimate corporation. (Don't they sell the Brief editor?) Misuse of their name without the appropriate copyrights, compensation and notices may infringe on some legislation. Perhaps someone should let them hear about this column. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kevin Martinez Warning: Intel Inside lps@rahul.net I owe all my success to Roly Poly Fish Heads! ------------------------------------------------------------------------
