Yup, ATI Mach8 (Graphics Ultra), and ATI Mach32 (Graphics Ultra Pro) are supported. The Mach64 is not supported in accelerated mode, but can be used in it's SVGA mode (yuck!). I currently have a 2MB Mach32 running with NetBSD 1.0 & XFree86 v3.1. It is very fast and I've never run into any problems with it. I have a VLB card, but have used an ISA in the past without any problems. I would recommend you getting a local bus card so you can take advantage of the aperture, makes it much faster... I would imagine the Mach64 will be supported sooner or later, but here's the info from the README.S3... (supported cards) ... S3 805, Diamond SS2410 RAMDAC, ICD2061A Clockchip Diamond Stealth 24 VLB 8 bpp only requires Option "nolinear" ... S3 964, AT&T Bt485 RAMDAC, ICD2061A Clockchip Diamond Stealth 64 8, 15/16, 24(32) bpp ... -Andrew -- ========================================================== Andrew Gillham gillham@andrews.edu LAN/WAN/Netware/Unix Analyst gillham@whirlpool.com ==========================================================
