Looks to me like something needs to >be done configuring sendmail... Your problem is most likely the fact that FreeBSD likes to put incoming mail in /var/mail instead of /usr/spool/mail. The "best" way to fix it is to tell pine to look in /var/mail. You can also create /usr/spool and create a softlink named mail there which points to /var/mail. Good luck!
