The only thing I can see going for it is that if you follow the docs, you can get things working pretty quickly. I've never developed anything in it, and I never ever want to. Also, everyone currently connected with the system isn't happy with the fact that it's there. It's what they have, it works, that's about it. They had the system crash, and needed someone to get it working.
