And, at the time I was shopping for a free PC-based UNIX, the LDP didn't make that clear. Traffic on the comp.os.linux.* newsgroups seemed to have as many references to Yggdrasil as Slackware, in fact. But that's irrelevant: how popular a distribution is doesn't indicate if it's right for me. And the distribution point doesn't apply to my ultimate choice of FreeBSD anyway. --k
