What is NEW ?
********************
1). X-window for multi-languages !
X-window is the most standard window system on work station . This
wide version brings you not only a platform for localization of
many original applications based on X-window , but also a perfect
environment for developing multilingual applications .
2). Multilingual processing !
Wide X can handle English , abbreviated Chinese(used in mail land) ,
traditional Chinese(used in Taiwan and Hongkong) and Japanese(*) .
3). Compatiable with X11R5 !
For Wide X is designed to give a platform for localization , It is
compatiable with X11R5 . On Wide X , almost all programs developed
on Xaw or Motif , etc. can process multi-languages without rewriting .
4). Support most important Chinese input methods !
They can be customized and rebuilt also . The following input methods
are built in now :
For GB code(abbreviated Chinese used in main land) :
1) Standard PinYin input method
2) Standard PinYin input method with tone 1-5
3) WuBi input method
4) ShouWei(first and last part) input method
5) ShuangPin(abbreviated PinYin) input method
6) QuanJiao(double-byte ASCII in GB coding) input method
7) GB code input method
For BIG5 code(traditional Chinese used in Taiwan and Hongkong) :
1) Standard PinYin input method with tone 1-5
2) QuanJiao(double-byte ASCII in BIG5 coding) input method
3) BIG5 code input method
