Funny, I just asked this question myself (in different newsgroups)
Here is a summary of the replies I received so far:

from Trevor Lawton (tc@iinet.com.au):

MacBSD can be got in its initial Mac release from the following site.
Also it only runs on certain Macs (older ones) so check out the read
me before downloading the 20-40Mb of files (:

cray-ymp.acm.stuorg.vt.edu /Pub/NetBSD_Mac/

MacLinux was to be released in its initial release January or February
of this year, however nothing has been said yet about its imminent
arrival.

from ianw@jolt.mpx.com.au (Ian Webster):

NetBSD 1.0 is on Another Ian & Stuart's Australasian Mac CD - files are
about 40MB. Some of the recent traffic from the various Linux adventurers
is also on the CD. The just released hack of X11R5 for Mac NetBSD will
be on the soon to be released AI&S patch CD. in its initial release January or February
of this year, however nothing has been said yet about its imminent
arrival.

Back to me again...

This last item may not help you much, I suppose...

Be careful out there...
