Sure, this is an entirely reasonable position.  Example: I have a Gravis
Ultrasound.  FreeBSD and Linux both support it; BSDI does not.  If using
it under Unix was important to me, choosing the free system would be the
right thing to do.

And I'm not saying that Linux/Free/NetBSD are inferior products -- I was
just responding to knee jerks who assume that all commercial products
and support staff are cut from the same cloth as Microsoft.
