Message-ID: <david.714793498@mlb.geomechanics.csiro.au> Sender: news@mel.dit.csiro.au Organization: CSIRO DIT (Melb.) Date: 26 Aug 92 01:44:58 GMT Lines: 27 Thanks to the bus mouse patches, I have finally gotten X386 to work somewhat. I have the following problems. 1) If I close one of the default shells which pops up, then X crashes out and returns me to my prompt. 2) The normal 'Exit' function does not work. 3) Whenever X386 leaves in this fashion, I end up with a BLACK screen with no display. 4) Often I type startx on the console, and when X is loaded, the keyboard no longer works. (and stays that way.) I rebooted, and booting hung just after printing the 'npx0' line. I had to hit the power switch. Are there any solutions to this? Is the next version ready enough for me to test a copy? Please???
