VIVA 14.4 fax modem.

I'm using the sio.c with all the printf's that someone
posted a while back, and that fixes he autodetection...
thanks!

My tiny brain figured out how to MAKEDEV cua01 so I can
actually tip to the thing...

I think there was even a log file whose directory I had
to make. Maybe not.

So now, when I tip to it, I get no response. I've got my
old 2400 at cua00, and can ATZ, ATD,... whatever I want.
But my 14.4 at cua01 seems dead. It works fine under DOS
with several programs (fax and terminal). It worked fine
under NetBSD 0.9 (a long time ago). I like how the right
edge of this paragraph lines up so nicely.

Has anyone seen similar symptoms, or does anyone have this
modem working? Isn't it neat how a computer with no modem
is almost useless?

Thanks,
John Finley
