This is not yet supported, though work is underway.  You'll have to
wait for 2.1, or perhaps a later snapshot of 2.0.

Yes, you need to enable ppp in your kernel.  You still won't be able to
talk to that pcmcia modem though.. :-(  Send mail to phk@freebsd.org; he
has an evil hack that you can use for now..
