Haven't got round to 2.0 yet. One problem I encountered was when I attempted to determine whether the P4D-66 supports the NCR810 SCSI controller (which needs motherboard BIOS support). Gateway tech support (Dublin) were hopeless - they hadn't heard of the 810; some of them had barely heard of SCSI. Feedback from gwvince@gw2kbbs.com suggested that 810 support (in the form of a BIOS upgrade) is unlikely to be available for the P4D in the forseeable future. The only SCSI controller Gateway support is the Adaptec 2940, which isn't supported by FreeBSD 2.0 (I believe it may be supported in 2.1). I was left with the impression that it is not Gateway's policy to assist customers who have problems with hardware which Gateway do not themselves sell. Having said all that, the PC itself is fine. -- Iain Baird Network People International Tel: +44 (0)1732 743591
