Well, I started this morning by backing up everything to tape, and I now have a rudimentary FreeBSD system up and running. It's a lot more work to set up than Linux(SlackWare), but it's coming along nicely. Compiling the kernel for the first time right now.... ;-) Thanks to all who have responded via private email, too. I think I made the correct decision in switching... it's just going to take a while to get this thing set up again to the point I had the Linux system set up. All that customization takes a long time!! Michael -- Michael Nelson nelson@seahunt.imat.com San Francisco, CA http://www.imat.com/consult.html VOICE: 1-415-621-2608
