Date: 25 Jan 95 08:11:23 GMT Organization: Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa Lines: 13 Message-ID: <ccsanady.791021483@aeem1.iastate.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: aeem1.iastate.edu hi. it seems that when i boot up NetBSD, the NCR driver reports that it is doing transfers asynchrously. is there a way to get the controller to do synchronous transfers?? i heard this method was faster... also, if this is important--i only have one scsi device. one other thing i wsa curious about was an option in tunefs.. the maxcontig value. suposedly this defaults to one. is there a way to know what the maximum value i may use with this? i would really appreciate any info anyone has on these things.. :) -chris --
