Hodges) Newsgroups: comp.os.386bsd.bugs Subject: NetBSD-1.0 / XFree86-3.1 processor freezes Date: 25 Jan 1995 22:24:37 -0500 Organization: Asset Source for Software Engineering Technology Lines: 19 Message-ID: <3g74ll$11n4@source.asset.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: 530tr0 I have a pentium, 16 meg , PS/2 mouse, ATI Mach 32 (PCI) w/ 2meg. I am running NetBSD-1.0 off the net with kernel build to include mouse and Mitsumi CDROM. The XFree86 is unchanged. THE PROBLEM: from time to time when running X-Applications like XFIG and Andrew ez editor the processor freezes. No core file, no messages, no indication on com1 tty terminal. upon reboot the file system suffers a little damage but nothing great. This has NEVER happened unless an X application is running. Is this a known problem? What can I do to get better diagnostics to help isolate this problem? Thanks ahead of time, Bill
