It is just that nobody in their right mind would select NFS as the network filesystem in a PC network, and therefore as an IP advocate you have a setback from the beginning (having to use multiple protocols). When there would be a product that filled a customer requirement like Netware does, but used IP as the network protocol, we would see a lot more IP and the issue "IP or IPX" would not be there. But alas, this is not the case...
