The MacInstaller program runs fine for about 15 minutes and seems to properly install everything up to ./usr/include/ufs/mfs/mfs_extern.h when I receive the following error message: mode = 0100600, inum = 9433, fs = / ialloc: dup alloc The installer stops at this point, doesn't die (I've already raised the memory req. to 3000 on the installer). The same installer properly worked for the base10, etc10, secr10, man10, and the kernel. The system has been running without problems for a week or so, but I just can't get the darn compilers installed. Any suggestions? Experience? My gut feeling is that this sounds disk related. Anyone? ========================================================================= J.
