Message-ID: <JUN.95Jan25104011@fox.fax.iwa.fujixerox.co.jp> Date: 25 Jan 95 01:40:10 GMT Followup-To: comp.windows.x.i386unix Organization: Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., Akasaka, Tokyo. I run FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 on my PC at work, and recently reconfigured the kernel to include SYSV'ish (yehh) shared memory mechanism. It booted just fine. Now what? My server still doesn't detect SHM stuff, so I even downloaded XFree86 link kit (both 2.1.1. and 3.1) but found *no* mention on XShm support in the distributions. How do I incorporate XShm stuff into my server, given that my kernel indeed has such options working? Do I have to extract the whole X11R6 tarballs and start from the complete scratch? Thanks in advance. Regards, junichi -- Junichi Kurokawa Image and Printing System Products Development Center Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd.
