I basically followed the directions in the SLIP.FAQ but I have not been able to get it to work. I can login without any problems into the SLIP server but cannot get the machines to talk to each other. I have included various outputs of netstat, ifconfig and ping. Any input on this would be appreciated. * netstat -r Routing tables Internet: Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Interface default mcgee.infi.net UGS 0 3 sl0 localhost localhost UH 1 3 lo0 xperts localhost UGHS 0 3 lo0 mcgee.infi.net xperts UH 1 11 sl0 * ifconfig sl0 sl0: flags=c011<UP,POINTOPOINT,LINK2,MULTICAST> mtu 552 inet 198.69.156.193 --> 199.0.148.2 netmask 0xffffffc0 * ping output PING mcgee.infi.net (199.0.148.2): 56 data bytes --- mcgee.infi.net ping statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss cheers, Ranjan, Part time UNIX dweeb Full time Software Engineer
