Jasperson) Subject: More then 16 loings in 1.1.5.1 Sender: news@egr.uri.edu (USENET News System) Organization: University of Rhode Island / The Vampyre Project Message-ID: <D2ztnL.HLw@egr.uri.edu> Date: Thu, 26 Jan 1995 03:28:33 GMT Lines: 29 How would one go about allowing a 1.1.5.1 FreeBSD machine to allow for more then 16 simultaneous logins? We use a FreeBSD machine here as a small BBS type system and so far have not has a problem with the current 16 login limit. However, we now have 32 lines connected to the machine (via a term server and the net of course) and we cant have that many people online at one time. The MAKEDEV file does seem to indicate that there can be such devices such as ttyq,r and s instead of just ttyp's... but I cant get them made at all. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. I would also prefer the response in EMAIL form since my news server is being converted from good old CNEW to INN and is not very reliable at this time. Thanks for any help.
