BSD is the real thing; i love it, i know it better than linux, and it feels like i'm home when hacking on it. but reading linux code is a pleasure (except some drivers), and mind-boggling experience... what a supreme hack! you think you can do better? go ahead! do you think it's so easy to write free software on your own time and achieve the quality linux has? i'm not that arrogant -- it's taking me forever to release the multi-architecture version of my realtime OS. why? because i have to make a living writing code for real customers. Linux = "lets write UNIX from scratch and make it run everything" BSDI = "lets enhance UNIX we've written and sell it to buy bread" *BSD = "lets form core groups and fight amongst ourselves for control while regurgitating old code done by other people." love, hwajin peaceful star, oakland, california
