This was diffecult, but it's running now. The problem is that the srcdist, and bindist don't seem to unpack correctly, so I can't recompile the kernel. I want to add the patch for X11R5 so I have to recompile. It looks like some of the src files are incomplete. The first error is in vmparam.h, it ends with an '#endif' however there is no '#if' in the file. When I unpack the srcdist I get the error, 'install.src01 not found'. It looks like I can't unpack the srcdist on my machine. Disk space is no problem. I have a 40Mb local disk, and 1Gb mounted NFS, the /usr filesystem is on the NFS disk. don ward.
