On day two I again tried cu -s 38400 -l tty00 and still was able to grab the port. Day three comes along and right after login and password I see my modem flashing its transmit and recieve leds. I think this is not good. Cu responds with permission denied, line busy. So who has the line? ps -j tells of .../libexec/getty -s. I try killing the pesky bugger but another starts on the line as if spawned from the loins of a deamon. The question is: How do I gain back control of the serial port? ( Isn't unix grand 8^) ) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
