I got by the "PPP not available on this system" (can't remember how) and a problem with the lock directory for the serial port (made it world writeable); but now I'm stuck when I try to ifconfig ppp0. I get back the error message: "no such interface". I guess I need to reconfigure the kernel, but I have no idea what to do or how to do it. - Jim Brown typing from kermit on FreeBSD 2.0 if I could get ppp working I wouldn't need a world account any more brownj@world.std.com
