Marcos) Subject: FreeBSD and SoundBlaster Pro Message-ID: <1995Jan28.121923.1@ugun2a> Lines: 22 Sender: usenet@news.unige.ch Organization: University of Geneva, Switzerland Date: Sat, 28 Jan 1995 10:19:23 GMT I've installed FreeBSD last week and since then, I'm trying to use my SoundBlaster Pro. /dev/audio and /dev/dsp are working fine but when I try to use the mixer, I have an error message like : "/dev/mixer : Illegal operation" and then /dev/mixer is deleted. I have to MAKEDEV to recreate it. Should I to recompile my kernel with specials options ? Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks in advance. -- F.
