Sir, I can assure you, that if there is money to be made supporting linux, there will be people who will come forward to offer their services. It is a concept as old as civilization. Check a recent copy of Linux Journal, my friend, and you will find all sorts of support for linux. Hmmm.. I am having a thought here, a revelation of sorts... yes, I see it all clearly now... I beleive I shall go into business as a linux support professional - I can charge roughly half the going rate for comparable SCO services while providing better performance for the customer, and be filthy rich in 3 months time... I can hire CS students with some knowledge of UNIX internals as part-time associates, and we shall provide fast, effective support. >I guess I'm just jaded from all the marketing BS that happens all the >time in technology. I certainly agree with that - I am highly skeptical of anything that sounds like it's leading up to a sales pitch... But, skeptical as I am, I am convinced that the future of linux is full of growth possiblities beyond anyone's wildest dreams... jjs -- jjs@wintermute.ucr.edu / You can't figure out how to A linux machine! because a 486 / ACCELERATE your Windoze NT box? is a terrible thing to waste! / -9.8 m/s^2 works quite well!!!
