By the way, when I run X, sometimes (depending on config) I get:

(a) I weird black and white pattern
(b) the X sign (I move with my mouse) a white backround and black bars
(c) a Black backround (white X I move with mouse.)
(d) a whole bunch of horizantal lines (.5 cm away from eachother) small X
-- no xterm, but it thinks it's got one.

Thanks.
