I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction to try to track down the problems. From dmesg the drive seems to be seen ok: bt0 targ 5 lun 0: type 1(sequential) removable SCSI1 bt0 targ 5 lun 0: <TEAC MT-2ST/N50 RV F> st1: density code 0x88, 512-byte blocks, write-enabled But when I try to use it I get: tar tf /dev/rst1 tar: read error on /dev/rst1 : Input/output error stolzy# Jan 28 14:22:39 stolzy /kernel: st1(bt0:5:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST Jan 28 14:22:39 stolzy /kernel: st1(bt0:5:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST Jan 28 14:22:39 stolzy /kernel: st1: bad request, must be between 0 and 0 Jan 28 14:22:39 stolzy /kernel: st1: bad request, must be between 0 and 0 Any suggestions on what to check into?
