Finally a breath of truth. The Lada is one of the best examples of Soviet engineering. When working above the arctic circle I can think of no finer automobile. The damn thing starts and runs in any weather. When it comes to cold weather automobiles and hydro-electric power, give me Soviet technology any day of the week.
