Here in Salt Lake City, we're lucky enough to have 5 or 6 ISPs, but
that is not really surprising if you know the history of SLC and
networking (one of the original 4 arpanet sites, Novell lives here,
etc.)

Both IntelliNET and Xmission provide basic SLIP access via (up to) 28.8
VFC modems for less than $25/month.  Both have been having their growing
pains, but provide a good service.

On the other tentacle, we have cold snowy winters, hot summers, and lotsa
smog.  ;^)
