NLSP is the next generation protocol that does the same, ] and Netware 4.x avoids this problem. ] ] IP networks running RIP have the same difficulty. Yet, this is not considered ] a problem as alternatives are available in case your network is large and ] suffers from it. Same with IPX. Link state routing is a product of the San Jose group. As far as I know, it is not available from, say, Cisco systems, and is nowhere in wide use. It is not (or was not) being used on Novell internal networks the last time I cared to check about such things. Much as Novell would like to charge Cisco license fees to make Novell networks operate more efficiently. NSLP will not succeed until it costs nothing relative to SAP -- that is, until it comes with NetWare servers and is configured to be used by default. Your referencing NLSP after attempting to discredit the much more widely use NetWare/IP is not logical.
