First, make your ModemSetupAACmd = +FAA=1 for incomming data/fax - this stumped me for a while. Second, don't use cua/ttyd devices, use the tty device. faxd seems to detect the creation of /var/spool/lock/LCK..tty??, and allow kermit in ('cos it honours this locking stuff). However, trying to run slattach won't work 'cos faxd comes back after a while, sees the lock gone and grabs the port again (with a NONBLOCK open), shitting all over slattach's attempts to do nice things (not to mention hanging up). I'm currently compiling ppp into my kernel. It has an interesting 'lock' option that claims to support uucp locking...;) I'll test the +FAA=1 bit tomorrow (when I can get my hands on another fax machine). Let me know how things go (anyone). -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
