The AIC6360 is supported under FreeBSD and NetBSD, however to what extent I am not sure. I do have two AIC6360 based cards lying around here, but I havn't had the inclination to test them yet - this is probably because I'm hapilly running a bt445s VLB board in my FreeBSD box already :-) Honestly, if it comes down to "bang for buck" - you probably can't do better than the ASUSTek SP3G motherboards - they come with an onboard PCI (NCR53c810) SCSI-2 controller and retail for ~(AUS)$450 - a major bargain compared to my current setup, considering the bt445s *alone* cost me only ~(AUS)$50 less than this... :( The Linux HOWTO recommends these boards, as do many FreeBSD users and developers.
