Message-ID: <D3KC2A.A7v@freenet.carleton.ca> Sender: ao826@freenet2.carleton.ca (David A Hosten) Reply-To: ao826@FreeNet.Carleton.CA (David A Hosten) Organization: The National Capital FreeNet Date: Mon, 6 Feb 1995 05:18:10 GMT Lines: 17 I have read the FAQ's, all I think, and have not seen info which points to the (in)advisability, (im)possibility of install the OS from FTP sites. I have found the sites, and relevant directories, and have a HD which is large enough to install FreeBSD & Linux. So, is it possible to D/L the files to a DOS/FAT machine? If not, what do I do to install the necessary binaries from an FTP site to my machine? Due to the slightly embarassing nature of the question, please send e-mail to: s657134@aix2.uottawa.ca with the answer.
