Summary: exporting directories that aren't mount points

Hi all,
I have a problem with exporting directories and nfs mounting.
Say I've mounted a file system under /var, I need to be able to export a part
of the tree below this, say /var/spool/pcnfs. NetBSD won't let me, or atleast
not the way I've got it setup. Is there someway that I can export part of a
file system?
This problem arises because I want to use pcnfsd for printing, and pcnfs expects
to mount /var/spool/pcnfs/${host}, which of course cannot be mounted because
only /var is exported.
If I add /var/spool/pcnfs to /etc/exports, I get a message saying that I cannot
change attributes, or something like that.
Any pointer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gavin
