All of these were : big drives which goes along with the comments that others have made that : the seagate problems may be restricted to the smaller drives. Dont go : below a gig and you are fine, and at 50cents/megabyte, why would you? A company that I worked at (which will go unnamed, but it was big and generally has tons of influence, I'm just not sure how public this ever was) had tons of Barracudas and Hawks around and returned all of them to Seagate because of overheating problems that they were having. This was last summer, after the drives had been out for a couple of years. Was enough to make me decide to get the Micropolis 4110S instead of a Seagate Hawk at least. alex
