If you're willing to put up with spending a couple thousand dollars for your "telephone" and only being able to talk to some 40 other people in the world and having lags and delays and sound quality that's possibly worse than telephone which is none too good to begin with. I really really really doubt that this usage would cost the phone companies one penny.
