And you don't think that a post with the line "What we need are more PDP-11 computers" just _might_ be an attempt at humor? What an idiot! > What use is a 300hp car in a country with a 55 (60 sometimes speed limit)? Uhh...no, it's been 65mph on interstates outside city limits for the past decade. Besides, aren't those minimums? > Is it to cover a penis inferiority complex? You're the one who brought it up...err...would like to bring it up...uhhh...remembered, once, a long time ago bringing it up.... > The days of engines like that > are over, legislation [California especially] is forcing car manufacturers > to produce ~1 litre lean burn engines. Tell that to Vector, a CA company building 600+ HP cars...and there's a Ford/Mazda plant in Long Beach, isn't there? I beleive the RX-7 twin-turbo is another ~300 HP car. And isn't Shelby (Cobra, and now Viper) working out of CA? And no, there wouldn't be more big-engined Benzes on the Ventura Freeway than in all of Germany now, would there? > I'll leave your bright idea about expensive dinosaur iron to the others > in this group.
