Walnut Creek CDROM does not sell a 386BSD CDROM, it sells a FreeBSD CDROM. This is not just a typo, it's an entirely different OS! 2. I don't think that WC's price for FreeBSD is that onerous, especially as they are VERY generous supporters of the FreeBSD project. Yes, I'm now an employee of the company, but they were supporters of the project long before that was the case (and I suppose you could look upon their hiring me as even more support, if you wished! :-). So if you want to save a few bucks then that's certainly your perogative, but at least consider where the money is going! None of Walnut Creek's competitors give anything to the FreeBSD project, so I'm obviously not going to be quite so quick to defend them! The equation is pretty easy to understand! :-) Oh yes, you can also buy CDs from a Walnut Creek distributor for much less than Walnut Creek themselves charge. This is just marketing (you undercut your own distributors and they're not your distributors for very long!). Jordan
