I'm all set to go out and get an Adaptec 1542B SCSI adapter or an AHA1740 to run in 1542 mode, but I thought I'd ask the net first if anyone's heard of any effort to write a 386BSD driver for the Western Digital WD7000-FASST2 SCSI adapter. I'm using one now with Esix SvsV R3.2D and a big Maxtor disk. I've never been overly thrilled by it though because there's no boot driver for it - I have to boot from an IDE disk and mount the Maxtor afterwards... I feel like it might a good time to break down and get the Adaptec card, unless..... Someone is working on a driver for the WD7000? :-) Much thanks to all of you! -John jackson@a1.mec.mass.edu
