An extended discussion ] yes, a flame war no. It would have had to have gotten a lot nastier ] to have been a flame war. People are so quick to put the "flame" label ] on anything even slightly over the bar of everyday "conversation." I ] suppose that's what comes from having articles about flames in magazines ] like Time and The New Yorker -- everyone who has ever read about a ] flame or a flame war wants to see one. If you want to see real flames, ] read alt.flame! I definitely agree with Kaleb on this. It was only a discussion. Neither one of us resorted to "so's your mama!". As far as what Kaleb said in his previous post, and me calling him a foe, this only applies to "The Cabal". I still think that it is uttery intolerable to allow such a thing as a Usenet Cabal to exist, and would still like evidence to shove down it's throat (if one did) to #$%!&! choke it to death. And I'm still willing to use trademark infringement to beat it to death with an already bloody crowbar belonging to someone elses lawyers, if that's my only option. It is terrifically frustrating to me that *anyone* could *conceive* of allowing such an abomination to exist. That's why it's so hard for me to accept its existance without direct evidence. Maybe I just don't read the right groups... Cheers, Terry Lambert terry@cs.weber.edu --- Any opinions in this posting are my own and not those of my present or previous employers.
