X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.90.3 Lines: 30 This problem occurs with the floppies generated from the Walnut Creek FreeBSD 2.0 CD and with the images from ftp.cdrom.com, in the .../floppies/newer directory. I've tried this on a 486/66 eisa with Buslogic 747S scsi and an HP Vectra 33U with IDE. Same thing. The boot floppy works fine, and I'm able to fdisk and disklabel. After doing the Proceed, it builds the filesystems then starts to unzip over /stand/sysinstall. The error listed below appears, then it continues, and finally asks to hit a key to reboot from the harddrive. Unfortunately, since it continues, most of the error is lost. recal failed S T0 80 <invld> cyl fd0c: hard error T1 1 <no_am> S T0 0 cyl 53 hd 0 sec 1 zcat: stdin: Input/output error. The blank area above is where the message box is. I checked this with the debugging screen on alt-F2, and it shows no error, just unzipping /stand/sysinstall. I've tried 6 seperate diskettes, from two manufacturers, and two totally different machines. Same exact error. Is there a problem with the disk image ? I can't think so, since others are running FreeBSD 2.0 from this same CD. So what's up here ? Dean
