i think another good idae to start is the "double" package for linux - i've
tested it several times and it's now really fast and full of good ideas -
but i don't know how easy it is to port it to FreeBSD - here comes the
authors mail-address and the sites - where you may find it:
email: jmv@achaz.saclay.cea.fr (Jean-Marc Verbavatz)
ftp: ftp://achaz.saclay.cea.fr/pub/double (his machine)
ftp://julia.physik.fu-berlin.de/pub/double (the machine i'm sitting at)
hope this will help you - t
