Date: 15 Feb 1995 07:34:48 GMT Organization: Phoenix Data Systems (713) 486-8337 Lines: 14 Message-ID: <3hsaqp$s7m@gryphon.phoenix.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: phoenix.phoenix.net X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I just installed an NE2000 ethernet clone (Kaytron) in my 486/33 running FreeBSD 1.1R. I have defined it in the kernel config file as ed0 on IRQ 2 base addr. 0x320. The problem I'm suffering from is that it will boot, the ethernet will work fine for several hours (give or take an hour) and then all of a sudden hang. It's as though the ethernet card isn't getting reset correctly or something. Has anyone out the suffered a similar situation? Does anyone have any idea what I can do to remedy this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- John Perry - perry@phoenix.net Phoenix Data Systems
