Cleveland, Ohio (USA) Lines: 34 Message-ID: <3hr8gf$d96@usenet.INS.CWRU.Edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: lal.eeap.cwru.edu I just got my cd copy of freebsd 2.0. I have begun to install it onto my pc (Cornell 486-66, 20 mb ram, WD ide hard drives 345mb & 540mb, mitsumi 2x cdrom on sb awe 32 interface) Everything seems to be going fine until the install program asks for the source of the bindist, xwin, ... . I specify a mitsumi cd rom and the program says unable to mount. When the computer boots up the lines on the screen report finding a mitsumi fx001d cd rom on mcd1. The exact lines are below. When the program says it can't mount the cdrom, it says something about mcd0. Whats going on here. I even looked over the entire directory structure on the cdrom and can't find any file named mcd1. The info on the screen at boot up is: . . . mcd0: time out getting status mcd0 not found at 0x300 mcd1: version information is 10 D 2 mcd1: adjusted for newer driver model mcd1: type mitsumi FX001D mcd1 at 0x340 - 0x343 irq11 on isa . . . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Greg Causey gcc@pris.eeap.cwru.edu
