Hello Gang,
I have got a couple of questions.
First Does anyone out there have a Tahita -1 drive on there FreeBSD box?
I bought one with high hopes for using it with my machine but the sysinstall
keeps timing out on newfs when I try to make the disk a drive. I have jumpered
the drive as a direct access drive as the kernel doesn't know how to deal with
an optical drive. Please forward any tricks or hints.
Second I can't get 16 megs to work in my machine. Everytime I install it, the
kernel panics and says that it can't find _bb_????.so. I recompiled the kernel
and made sure the bounce buffer option was set and then I recompiled the world.
I have tried this with two different motherboards and two different sets
of 16megs memory. Once again any tricks or hints.
Thanks
Brian Pierson
