I'm running FreeBSD-1.1 and am trying to get /usr/libexec/pppd to work.
I use kermit to connect to the remote host activate PPP over there, quit
kermit, and the use the following command to activate the local pppd:

     /usr/libexec/pppd /dev/tty00 9600

after this the modem hangs up and I get a message which is something like
invalid ioctl on /dev/tty00 (TIOCSETD). What is going on? Do I need some
kernel support? I'm just using the released kernel which comes with the
CDROM installation.

Regards
