1). Support Chinese and Japanese !
Wide X Window can handle abbreviated Chinese(used in mainland China) ,
traditional Chinese(used in Taiwan and Hongkong) and Japanese .
It brings you not only a platform for localization of many original
applications based on X-window , but also a perfect environment for
developing Chinese and Japanese applications .
2). Compatiable with X11R5 !
Wide X Window is compatiable with X11R5 . Almost all applications
developed on Xaw or Motif 1.2 such as xedit, xmh, xmpostit, etc.
can process Chinese and Japanese without any change .
3). Support most important Chinese and Japanese input methods !
They can be customized and rebuilt also . The following input methods
are built in now :
GB code(abbreviated Chinese used in mainland China) :
1) Standard PinYin input method
2) Standard PinYin input method with tone 1-5
3) WuBi input method
4) ShouWei(first and last part) input method
5) Abbreviated PinYin input method
6) QuanJiao(double-byte ASCII in GB code) input method

JIS code(Japanese) :
1) Canna input method
