Problem:
I can access the internet via SLIP using IP addresses by number but not by name.
I copied the useful files from my previously working FreeBSd 1.1.5.1
system (/etc/resolv.conf, ...). They worked just hours before the 2.0 install.

Trial #2:
I followed the directions in Slip.FAQ (they were similar, but slightly
different).

Conclusion:
Both trials had the same unfortunate result.
nslookup and dig seem to work.
host, telnet, ftp, etc only work with numeric addresses.

One more detail, I am attaching to The Internet Adapter (TIA) on a DEC alpha.
This used to work with FreeBSD 1.1.5.1.

Thank you for any help!
