Well, I rather had the impression Germans who own cars rather at the end of the "pecking order" are quite used to having them ridiculed. It seems to happen all the time. In fact, lots of them seem to do it themselves. That may have to do with the fact that they didn't choose their car for anything but price. As to those who bought it back when the GDR was a separate nation, I very much doubt that there are a lot of those left - and anyway, even in the GDR, there were a lot of Trabbi jokes going around. In short, I don't see why anybody should feel especially hurt by this thread. However, there's a different reason why _I_ dislike people who want to buy cars just to shove them down a cliff - if you want to throw something away, don't simply throw it into the environment. That's a crime, and one that happens much too often already. Kai -- Internet: kh@ms.maus.de, kai@khms.westfalen.de Bang: major_backbone!{ms.maus.de!kh,khms.westfalen.de!kai} ## CrossPoint v3.02 ##
